fuhhhhhhhhhhhhh, left eye by waywardgal fuhhhhhhhhhhhhh, left eye by waywardgal
Guys, I have literally one week to poop out some art work and finish my commissions and I hit the "other eye" dilemma. You know, the problem all artist have when you draw one eye great then think about the next eye and know it will not live up to those standards....
*btws it's Vriska

completely true, it's so horrible to have to draw the second eye just like the first, in fact when I was little I used to fold the paper in half and emphasize the silhouette (which obviously was not .-.) but good life it has taught me to put e have fringed B)

so... i saw this by way of the little thumbnail in the 'more from deviatart' section to the right and was not disappointed by the enlarged version.  it's really neat, even if it's just a work in progress...  very lovely

I've heard that drawing both eyes at the same time, like drawing one line, then the same line on the other eye, helps this. Alternatively, flipping the drawing so the eyes are both on the same side when you do this (draw one line on right eye, mirror the picture, the draw the same line on the new right eye) may help you as well!

I'm not nearly as great or as experienced at art as you are, but OH do I know this problem well!

I consider this my most amusing example of this problem.

Still, this piece is a very interesting finish for your most recent example.  I like it a lot!

I say the keep the eye as is.  Maybe just a tiny bit of shading and adding the lashes.  I really like the gaze you have set and to have a rough eye contrast with the "normal" one gives this character personality :3.

Well, I'm all for the "one eye is different from the other" idea, and I honestly like the way this looks now. But if you want to mix it up, I'm sure you will think of something :)

XD i hate the other eye dilemma, usually my issue is that i can't usually draw left and right eyes the same, all my left eyes are one way usually and my right eyes are usually another same way, so i just flip the canvas to be totally honest XD

Yeah, I ended up flipping the canvas in the end lol
I didn't want to risk it.
